sts_omegaWelp, one rather loud annoyance over on a certain StS forum is yelping and waving his authority around saying that magazine articles/mooks for Omega place the timeline at "ten and a few years" after the end of the original series, not 25.

This ... actually causes me more headaches than the "twenty-five years" rumour. >.>;;
- sooo Kouga et al are all conveniently~ concieved right about when the old story ended? goddamnit, I hate artificially neat timeline matches like that
- ... it really makes me wonder about Seiya, though. I guess he had a really speedy recovery and jumped right to Sagittarius, then?fuck that, psychic projection from a coma ftw
- Shiryuu being Ryuuho's father looks like a lock-in now, doesn't it. I guess Shunrei had a moment ofweaknessomgyou'restillalivetimetobang ;3
- and Mars pops in the first time right after Hades-den (and maybe the Tenkai-hen scraps, who the hell knows what Toei is using for a jump point argh), which is kind of stupid unless he's supposed to be "Ares" and it's the old "smite Athena for being a dumbarse" thing except it patently isn't. hell he almost seems to be an alien or something >.>
Also, it's funny as hell seeing forum folk taking other unsubstantiated rumours as gospel truth, right down to assuming/accepting that Shun can no longer use Cosmo and that Ikki trained Kouga (IN BLATANT CONTRADICTION OF THE FIRST EPISODE LOL).
And of course the brigade insisting that Kouga is Saori and Seiya's spawn are out in full force. Although I saw one suggesting he's somehow Black Pegasus' kid, which is alternatingly hysterical given my running joke about Ryuuho and wallbangingly bad givenEfrayimBlack Pegasus is dead as a doornail.
