- the rest of the students seem keen on Ryuuho due to a combination of his pedigree and his being godsfucking powerful
- ... which given his reasoning to be a Saint, makes a certain amount of sense. seeing as Ryuuho is a Saint to get as powerful as he can in the hopes that he'll get the ability to fix his father (not himself, lol)
- because Shiryuu has managed to lose all five senses somewhere along the way *facepalms. forever.* and trained the tiny one solely via telepathy. strange family yo :D
- makes you wonder what got Shiryuu, though.
- and (predictably) Ryuuho recognizes Saori's name and knows she's Athena.
- Ichi (who is Hydra, which no one can pronounce) is indeed a student *snrk* because he can't find his element --
- Ichi also supplies some very illuminating backhistory: apparently something (and the speedsub says "in contact with Cosmo" but I suspect that's a mistake and "Cosmo" should be something else, possibly from space) changed the Cloths into the cute ickle Clothstones and at the same stroke the elemental system/powers were developed -- one can still stomp flat with pure Cosmo but now all the emphasis is placed on the new elemental abilities (which is presumably why he's trying to find his).
- given that the Mantis Martian Kouga and Souma fought was all too familiar with the whole elemental thing, this makes me raise my eyebrows juust~ a bit ...
- Ryuuho is a sneaky little fragger :D and has a spine of steel :D and is daaamn good at pulling the wool over people's eyes (for Kouga's own good, mind you ~). I think I can safely say that the pegging of him as a straight-up Shun expy is not quite on, because I don't see Shun forcing Kouga into getting his face stomped in -- while expecting he'd be expelled for losing -- all to make Kouga manifest his element }3
- aaaand a tournament is coming up! the winner will meet with Athena (yeh right). so of course we're going to maul the cast next episode :D
