Let's see what we have here --
- Kouga: Yay, the outdoors! Everyone else: Are you fucking stupid?
- Although Kouga's learned the art of getting the jab in, at least. Lol Ichi, sorry dude ;3
- Sooo we're at a place called Cosmo Delta (and damn, that mountain peak makes me think of horrible forboding things like El-Qurn, the Peak in King's Valley >.>;; [/random]), and this is where we're having a two-day trial to weed out scrublets for the upcoming arena battles. Cool, cool.
- Climb the peak of Cosmo Delta before the Sun reaches it. Are you sure that's two days, Geki?
- I was right! The place drains off your Cosmo as you use it. Clever }3
- Aaaaand this is the qualifiers for the "Saint Fight", yup -- and the winner of the Saint Fight will get to be a Silver Saint :o
- Yuna, teaming up with Ryuuho because he knows TCM is clever ... until you remember that you're both in east-fuck-nowhere. What's he supposed to actually have at hand to apply medicinal knowledge to? (nice bit of character info there though ~) Souma teams up with Kouga of course ;3
- Wow, Argo, you're a piker. No wonder Souma bashed you in the face -- after you said his father died like "some loser dog". Fuck you, Argo. (more on dad later)
- Lightning strikes, soul-sapping witchfires, lava pits ... I love this place <3
- Bigarse river + Souma can't swim = oops. Also, giant devil water fish. Have I mentioned fuck you Argo yet? He's planned to ambush Souma at the river -- and of course, water trumps fire (logical).
- Flying Fish (Volans, it should be) Argo. Lot of fishy Saints in Omega.
- And into the drink Souma goes, where of course he goes down like a stone. Kouga goes in after him ... whooops, over a waterfall we both go.
- Traumatic Flashback Moment Number One. Dad's a redhead as well as a Silver Saint.
- Souma wakes up and its nighttime again already. Apologies all around; time to get going, boys! Climbing up sheer cliffs, woot. Souma sees Crux and it's time for Flashback Number Two: Dad was the Crux (aka Southern Cross) Silver Saint.
- Now this is interesting (and depressing). As a toddler-potato Souma found his father dead, and judging from the usual brick-shaped barracks-like architecture I'm going to say this was in Sanctuary. The murderer is female, in a Saint-like mask, and has long purplish-pink hair and talons (dripping blood in the flashback, so not afraid of melee). I suspect it might be the chick in the OP ... and all things being equal, this only increases my suspicions about her. For Reasons.
- Getting butchered means you start getting called "The Loser Saint"? You haven't changed, Saint folks, goofy school for scrublets or no --
- Souma points out the obvious (the Martian he and Kouga fought had the same red and black armour as the chick who killed his father) to Kouga ...
- There's some bits with Ryuuho and Yuna, but they aren't important ~
- Shortcut through a glacier wall. I love Saints <3 Of course, Souma and Kouga can't get through it ... until Souma calls up Lionet, goes all-out, nukes the wall to high heaven and collapses. This is where we get the first "go ahead without me" scene in Omega, which is simultaneously wibbly and kind of giggle-worthy.
- Ryuuho and Yuna make it to the Peak (where Geki's waiting with a few other scrublets); Argo pops up and says not to expect the other two, just a "feeling". (piker.)
- Souma used up all his Cosmo so that Kouga at least would get through the glacier, because that's what dad would do <3
- Sun's almost up, the goobers aren't on the Peak, Yuna's giving Argo the stinkeye ... aaaand look coming up to the Peak plateau! Kouga, with Souma on his back ~~
- AHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU ARGO, YOU GOT DISQUALIFIED FOR BEING A PIKER ~~ <3<3
- "Know that, among you, there was one person that passed far ahead of the others" "he alone braved a path that even the Silver Saints have trouble with" -- pfft, frag you Eden, you're officially utterly gaggy and you yourself haven't said a damn word yet ;p
- Next episode: Saint Fight!
Bonus observation: NO WHINING OR FLASHBACKS ABOUT SAORI THIS EPISODE OMFG ~~~

I expected it to be, y'know, a river delta. There only seemed to be that one river. Also, we never see how they got out of the water.

I guess non-Zodiac Cloths really can change rank depending on power level? I sort of like that idea, because then you can still have the constellation that suits you best.

If you are going to be a Saint, you learn to GIVE YOUR ALL. Eventually, if you survive, you "all" gets bigger. You stretch and grow that Cosmo, boy~ <3
Okay, so, Argo got disqualified for being a backstabbing douchebag, but Geki said it was because he hadn't learned to be comradely/work together. And yet Eden made it to the top waaaaay ahead? By himself? So, no working together involved?

Getting out of the water is kind of a non-starter, because water tends to be sluggish at the base of a waterfall. Kouga coughs, spits, drags himself and Souma to the shore; done. Not a lot of point of taking up episode time when there was flashbacks to get to ~

It's certainly an interesting concept, but I'm not 100% convinced it's not just a case of getting bumped to a Silver-ranked Cloth. We'll find out, I guess ;3

Geki's point wasn't specifically "working together", it was "treat your fellow Saints properly and don't be a backstabbing douchebag". So Argo got disqualified because he was a backstabbing douchebag who didn't treat his fellow Saints properly.
Notice how it took Ryuuho and Yuna galloping off together for the idea of working together to even occur to the other two. It was nice, but not a prerequisite.
